Hosting

Pearse Street staff should discuss the volume of file transfers expected on the live site (e.g. uploads and downloads of media files and documents). A pro-plus or dedicated server would eliminate the risk of burst fees or temporary down time as a result of exceeding the site’s bandwidth. Ask your project manager for recommendations on dedicated server providers.

Open Source Software

All of the social network software offered by Pearse Street has been created from scratch and does not originate from any free or paid open source software. Similarly, most if not all add-on features are constructed from scratch for optimum integration into the framework.

Specification Consultation

Prior to the construction of a large-scale social network site, it is strongly recommended that the client enlist Pearse Street to consult for a preliminary specification period. During this time, the project director will create a site plan, brainstorm and research site features, discuss branding options, and perform preliminary market research. When all specifications are finalized, a revised proposal will be prepared for client consideration.

Requesting a Proposal

Following your initial consultation, you may request a formal proposal for your site construction with an RFP or an email request with your site requirements. Your proposal will include the following items:

  • Website Objective
  • Recommendations
  • Site Features
  • Timeline
  • Investment
  • Company Background
  • Team Bios
  • Relevant Portfolio Samples
